Everyone of us here at Los Dos Molinos is happy that we’ve been recognized once more. After being included in the Top 100 Dishes by the Phoenix New Times and as one of the ‘10 Best Restaurants in Phoenix; by AZCentral.com , Los Dos Molinos makes yet another wave by being included in the Top 35 Best Burritos in America list by The Daily Meal.
The Daily Meal listed our Carne Adovada as No. 22 out of the 35 burritos who made it to the list. More than a hundred restaurants and their burritos from across the country have been considered but only a few won the palates of the judges.
The foodies at The Daily Meal ranked the burritos and not the restaurants. Burritos included were those from past lists and rankings and other websites also ranking burritos.
A survey form was sent to Culinary Council chefs, food writers, and journalists across the United States. Famous chefs Cesare Casella and Jonathan Waxman were more than willing to be mentioned as part of the deciding committee.
On top of the Best Burritos list is the Chile Relleno Burrito from La Azteca Tortillera based in Los Angeles, California.
It’s such an honor to be recognized across America. We’re proud to be Number 22 on the list. Some people are saying our spicy burrito should be Number 1. Who knows maybe next year, we’d make it to the top. If not, at least, within the Top 10. 😉
